The weather in Paris
Paris is the capital and largest city of France with a population of approximately 2,230,000. Its metropolitan area has one of the highest populations in Europe with more than 12 million inhabitants. The city is one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations. Paris’ most famous landmarks include the 12th century cathedral, Notre Dame de Paris, the Arc de Triomphe and the 19th century Eiffel Tower. The city’s climate is an oceanic one like much of Western Europe and can be described as mild and moderately wet. Summer temperatures vary between 15°C and 25°C and in winter, temperatures generally remain above freezing at around 7°C.
