Ipswich, situated in the county of Suffolk in East Anglia, is one of England's oldest towns. It has a maritime climate with a narrow temperature range. Found on the estuary of the River Orwell in Suffolk County in the East of England, Ipswich has a population of 133,384. As one of England’s oldest towns, Ipswich played an important role under the Roman Empire and during Anglo-Saxon times. Today, it is home to a number of artists and galleries as well as the Ipswich Museum and the Ipswich Transport Museum. The town has an oceanic climate like most of England. Rainfall is spread throughout the year with an annual precipitation of 570mm. The average high temperatures in summer are around 20 to 23°C.
