The climate in Bath

Situated in the ceremonial county of Somerset in South West England, Bath has a population of almost 84,000. First established as a spa by the Romans in the AD 60s, Bath is a popular destination for tourists. The City of Bath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its international historical significance. All important stages of English history are represented within the city from the Roman Baths to Bath Abbey and the Royal Crescent to Thermae Bath Spa in recent history. Bath has a temperate climate with mild winters and warm summers. The average high temperatures are around 8°C and lows around 1°C. In summer, the average highs are around 19 to 21°C with lows between 9 and 12°C. The average annual precipitation in Bath is 725mm.
