The climate in Hunstanton
Found in Norfolk in the East of England, Hunstanton is a seaside town with a population of 4,961. Known as “Sunny Hunny”, the town is on the east coast but faces west, making it one of the few places on the east coast where the sunset can be seen over the sea. The town is a traditional family resort and is a popular destination for day-trippers and holidaymakers. Red chalk limestone and white chalk cliffs are found on the beach at Old Hunstanton, a village of prehistoric origin. Hunstanton is known for having a bit of a micro-climate with weather that is often more pleasant than the surrounding area. The average high temperature in summer is about 21°C. In winter, the average high is about 7°C with lows near 2°C. Precipitation is spread throughout the year with many months having an average of about 10 days of rainfall.
