The climate in Sorrento
Located in the Campania region in Italy, Sorrento is a small town overlooking the Bay of Naples with a population of 16,500. The town offers many views of Naples, Versuvius, and the Isle of Capri. Sorrento is known for its production of the digestif limoncello as well as its sea cliffs and luxury hotels. Sorrento’s climate is characterised by very mild winters and warm to hot summers. The average high temperature in winter is around 12°C with lows near 4°C. In summer, the average high temperatures range from 26 to 30°C. Annual rainfall is around 1,011mm.
