Holyrood Park, Edinburgh

Holyrook Park is a haven in the centre of the busy city of Edinburgh. It features an array of hills, lochs, glens, ridges, basalt and cliffs. It was created in 1541 and consists of Arthur’s seat, the highest point in Edinburgh at the centre of the park with the cliffs of Salisbury Crags to the west.
There are walks through and around the park that will give you both fantastic panoramic views of the city and…sore legs! It is always great for running, dog walking, cycling and sports on the sport fields near Meadowbank.
If you’re not particularly into walks, the park is located near several tourist attractions such as the Queens Gallery, Dynamic Earth, Holyrood Parliament and Holyrood Palace.
