The climate in Seville
Located on the plain of the River Guadalquivir, Seville is the capital of Andalusia, Spain. It is also the largest city in the region with a population of 703,021. The city has the only river port in the country. It is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Alcazar palace complex, the Cathedral, and the General Archive of the Indies. Other landmarks include the Giralda and the Gold Tower. Seville is also a tapas scene with people going from one bar to another to enjoy these small dishes. The city has a subtropical, hot-summer Mediterranean climate. The average highs in summer are around 35°C. In winter, they are around 16°C with lows near 5°C. Average annual rainfall is 533mm with summer being the driest season.
