The climate in Abu Dhabi
With a population of 921,000 inhabitants, Abu Dhabi is the second largest city and the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is located on a T-shaped island on the central western coast of the country. It is home to the Abu Dhabi Emiri family. The city has experienced a rapid development and urbanisation and has become a cosmopolitan metropolis. As the capital, it is the country’s political and industrial centre, featuring many important financial buildings such as the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and many other multinational corporations. It is also a major oil producer. It enjoys blue skies throughout the year. July and August are the warmest months with daily temperatures of 33°C and a high rate of humidity. In January, the temperature is usually around 19°C.
