Dover is a town in Kent in south east England. As for many towns in the south east, Dover has one of the warmest climates in the whole country. Temperatures are moderate during the year. The region has the record of the hottest temperature ever recorded in the UK, with a maximum temperature of 38,5°C in the hamlet of Brogdale. The county was nicknamed 'Albion', meaning 'white' in Latin due the the White Cliffs of Dover.
