Located in the county of West Yorkshire in Yorkshire and the Humber, England, Huddersfield is a large market town near the confluence of the River Colne and the River Holme and has a population of 146,234. Huddersfield is known for its Victorian architecture, specifically that of its train station. Other popular attractions include the Victoria Tower at Castle Hill, the Town Hall, and the Pack Horse Centre. The town is also home to the Huddersfield Giants rugby team. Huddersfield has a temperate oceanic climate. The average high temperatures in summer are around 16 to 18°C with lows near 12°C. In winter, the highs are about 5°C with lows near 2°C.
