Found on the River Medway in Kent in South East England, Maidstone is the county town with a population of 113,137. Historically, the river was a source of the town’s trade as the agricultural centre of the county. Today, the town has the largest office centre in Kent and is a base for the paper and packaging industry as well as home to large shopping centres.
