The climate in Oxford
This city, belonging to the county of Oxfordshire, has a population of around 165 000 people. It is most well known for being home to the University of Oxford, the oldest University in the country and in the English speaking world. The city of dreaming spires is renowned for its typically English architecture and notably that of the University buildings. The city is a green one with many parks and nature walks. It is well frequented by tourists, mainly because of the famous university landmarks, but also for its shopping and markets. The city has a maritime temperate climate with rainfall spread evenly across the year. Temperatures reach an average high in the summer of 22°C and an average low in the winter of 1-2°C.
