The climate in Preston
Situated on the north bank of the River Ribble in the shire county of Lancashire in North West England, Preston has a population of 114,300. Established by the Angles, the name Preston is derived from word meaning “Priest settlement” in Old English. Today, the city is a centre for the British defence aerospace industry and distribution. Popular landmarks are St. Walburge’s Church, the Harris Museum, Winckley Square, and the Miller Arcade. Preston has a temperate maritime climate.
